Rise Up
The battered fist represents empowerment rising up from a pockmarked landscape that is adversity. The fist is a figure of strength with an inner life force depicted in red, like blood. The fist prevails, although obviously battered and scarred like the base of slag from which it arises, a message of hope and transcendence—that we can draw up the life force from within ourselves to triumph over our obstacles, problems and misfortunes.
